About us
Two people with over 20 years of combined 3D printing experience who decided to stop doing it separately.
Co-founder · 3D Designer · Mechanical Engineer
Started printing in his bedroom and never really stopped. Kris handles the design and engineering side of things, with hands-on experience across both hobby and industrial machines.
Co-founder · 3D Designer · Mechanical Engineer
A mechanical engineer by trade and self-taught printer by habit. Igor works on everything from precision mechanical parts to larger production runs, and has been doing it long enough to know where most prints go wrong.
We have both been building, printing and iterating in our home setups for years. through failed prints, material experiments and late-night calibration sessions. What started as a hobby became a serious skill set, and eventually a business.
KM Studio came out of the decision to combine what we each had. Machines, software knowledge, and a practical engineering approach. We can handle a quick prototype just as well as a precision mechanical part.
Both of us work as 3D designers and mechanical engineers in our day jobs. We know our way around Onshape, Blender, Fusion 360 and SolidWorks, working with machines ranging from DIY hobby-grade printers to industrial large format systems. Both of us actively work as 3D designers and mechanical engineers in our day jobs. so when we take on your project, you get professionals who live and breathe this every day.

Portfolio
A selection of projects we have worked on. from product components to event facilitation.
Designed and printed internal components for the Polder, a Dutch-made electric bicycle by MOKUMONO. Parts required precision tolerances and material properties suited for mechanical stress.
Custom charging cradles and housings for Collie GPS pet tracking collars. Designed for repeatable fitment and daily use durability.
Functional test fixtures and mounting stands for DeltaQuad fixed-wing UAVs. Built to exacting specifications for repeated use in an engineering environment.
Facilitated a hands-on 3D printing masterclass for the Amsterdam Robotics Club, covering material selection, design for additive manufacturing and print optimisation.
Managed and facilitated a full on-site 3D print shop during the European Defense Tech Hackathon, enabling teams to rapidly prototype hardware solutions over 48 hours.
