About us
Two 3D printing enthusiasts with a combined experience of 20+ years, who finally decided to bundle their skills and build something together.
Co-founder · 3D Designer · Mechanical Engineer
Started 3D printing in his bedroom and never stopped. With a technical background and years of hands-on experience across hobby-grade and industrial machines, Kris brings deep knowledge of both the creative and engineering side of additive manufacturing.
Co-founder · 3D Designer · Mechanical Engineer
A self-taught engineer who has spent years pushing the boundaries of what desktop machines can produce. Igor combines his day-to-day work as a mechanical engineer with a passion for designing and printing parts that actually work in the real world.
We have both been building, printing and iterating in our home setups for years — through failed prints, material experiments and late-night calibration sessions. What started as a hobby became a serious skill set, and eventually a business.
KM Studio was born from the decision to stop doing it alone and start doing it together. We pooled our machines, our software knowledge and our engineering instincts to create a studio that can handle everything from a quick prototype to a precision mechanical component.
We are self-taught engineers with demonstrated experience in Onshape, Blender, Fusion 360 and SolidWorks, working with machines ranging from DIY hobby-grade printers to industrial large format systems. Both of us actively work as 3D designers and mechanical engineers in our day jobs — so when we take on your project, you get professionals who live and breathe this every day.

Portfolio
A selection of projects we have worked on — from product components to event facilitation.
Designed and printed internal components for the Polder, a Dutch-made electric bicycle by MOKUMONO. Parts required precision tolerances and material properties suited for mechanical stress.
Custom charging cradles and housings for Collie GPS pet tracking collars. Designed for repeatable fitment and daily use durability.
Functional test fixtures and mounting stands for DeltaQuad fixed-wing UAVs. Built to exacting specifications for repeated use in an engineering environment.
Facilitated a hands-on 3D printing masterclass for the Amsterdam Robotics Club, covering material selection, design for additive manufacturing and print optimisation.
Managed and facilitated a full on-site 3D print shop during the European Defense Tech Hackathon, enabling teams to rapidly prototype hardware solutions over 48 hours.
